Industrial Tool Box — Terms and Safety Notice

Industrial Tool Box is a convenience, reference, and calculation aid for industrial field work. It is not an engineering authority, controlled code book, fabrication drawing, bolting procedure, welding procedure specification, OEM manual, inspection program, or substitute for qualified professional judgment.

Controlled documents govern. Always verify dimensions, materials, pressure-temperature ratings, torque/preload targets, lubricant or nut-factor values, fitting takeouts, valve data, welding requirements, and fabrication details against the current governing standard, approved drawing, project specification, manufacturer data, and site procedure before performing work.

Bolting and torque

Torque is an indirect method of developing preload and is highly sensitive to friction, lubrication, coatings, thread condition, geometry, and assembly practice. The app intentionally requires user-entered or selected inputs for factors that should not be silently assumed. An app result must not override the approved joint-assembly procedure.

Fabrication

Offsets, cut sheets, spool calculations, saddle layouts, and material lists are planning aids. Confirm all takeouts, weld gaps, end preparations, dimensions, orientation, tolerances, and isometric requirements before cutting or welding.

Hydraulics and lifting

Hydraulic force calculations are theoretical. Do not use the app to establish personnel-safety, lifting, rigging, pressure-test, or equipment operating limits. Use rated equipment data and approved procedures.

Reference data

Industrial standards change. Stored values can be rounded and may not cover every material, size, class, design, edition, manufacturer, or project exception. Where the app displays Verify / Not Stored, no value should be inferred.

Use at your own responsibility

You are responsible for confirming that an app result is applicable to the actual work. Stop and consult the controlling documents or a qualified person whenever the app and the job documentation disagree.
